Heard learned Counsel for the petitioners, learned Government Pleader appearing for respondent/State and learned Counsels appearing for respondent Nos.4 and

5. Learned Counsel appearing for respondent No.4 has tendered across the bar copy of notice issued by the Gram-sevak to the Members of the Panchayat mentioning therein that meeting will be held on 29.01.2018 at 02.00 p.m. for election of Upsarpanch. Copy of said notice is taken on record.

So far as prayer seeking direction to respondent to fix the date so as to conduct election for the post of

( 2 ) wp181.18 Upsarpanch has been fulfilled, we are inclined to dispose of this petition with following directions :- 3.

We direct respondent Nos.2 to 5 to ensure that as indicated in the notice, respondent Nos. 4 and 5 shall conduct meeting on 29.01.2018 and under any circumstances they shall not defer/postpone said meeting.

We make it clear that we have not entertained any other prayer in the petition.

With the above observations, the petition stands disposed of.
