PER COURT :- The petitioners are praying for directions to the respondents to pass Award in respect of the land already taken in possession and to pay the amount of compensation.
An affidavit in reply has been presented on behalf of respondent Nos.1, 6 and 7, wherein, it has been stated that the Award in consonance with the provisions of The Right to Fair Compensation & Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013 has been declared on 2.9.2017 and a demand for compensation amount Rs.73,56,308 has been submitted to the acquiring body on 25.10.2017. It is further stated that the acquiring body has not deposited the amount of compensation and as and when the acquiring
{2} wp 323.18.odt body deposits the amount, the same would be disbursed to the petitioner.
Looking to the fact that the petitioners have been deprived of their landed property since 1991, the respondent need to be directed to pay the amount of compensation to the petitioners expeditiously. In this view of the matter, respondent Nos.2 to 5 are directed to deposit amount of compensation determined by the Land Acquisition Officer with the Collector, District: Beed i.e. respondent No.6 for disbursement of the same to the petitioners, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within three months from today and it is accordingly directed. On deposit of the amount of compensation by the acquiring body, the same shall be disbursed to the petitioner forth with. With the directions as above, the writ petition is disposed of. ( ARUN M.
