The applicant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer simple imprisonment for two years and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/-, in default to suffer further simple imprisonment for one year. 3.

The amount of fine has been deposited. The Trial Court has suspended the substantive sentence of imprisonment until filing of the appeal. Considering the quantum of sentence imposed and the fact that the appeal is not likely to be heard in near future, the execution of substantive 1 / 2
