The law laid down in GTA Limited vs. Maharashtra Rajya Rashtriya Kamgar Sangh and others, 2006 (3) Mh.L.J. 646 and the order passed by this Court (Coram : S.V.Gangapurwala, J.) dated 26.03.2013 in Writ Petition No.1845/2013 (Ankush Raghunath Deshmukh vs. Balasaheb Raghunath Deshmukh) is that a defendant, who has jointly submitted the Written Statement with other co-defendants, cannot be permitted to amend the Written Statement and he may opt for moving an application for seeking permission to file the additional Written Statement.
