This is an application seeking permission to fill in the posts of Law Officer, Labour Officer and Junior Labour Officer. It is submitted that, the Law Officer and Labour Officer have retired, all these three posts are sanctioned posts.

Mr Talekar, learned counsel for non-applicants submits that, the Law Officer should be experienced person and the selection committee be constituted of experts.

The Principal District Judge shall be the Chairman of the Committee in selection process of the Law Officer, Labour Officer and Junior Labour Officer. It will be open for the Principal District Judge to take assistance of other experts, if he so desires. The qualification for all these posts should be as per Rules. The advertisement shall be published in a newspaper having wide circulation, inviting applications for the said posts. The Selection Committee shall decide about the process of selection. The efforts should be made to get the best talent. 4.
