Learned AGP for respondents states that land acquisition proceedings will be initiated in respect of concerned lands in right earnest and seeks time of six months.

However, looking at that possession of lands is claimed to have been taken in 2008 and not a single farthing has been paid to petitioners, in such case, it appears to be expedient that assured action be initiated by end of this calender year.

So far as period from taking over possession of land to filing of land acquisition proceedings is concerned, petitioners may make proper representation to concerned authority in respect of same and in-case such representation is made, same be decided within a period of two months from the date of receipt of representation.

It is hoped that land acquisition proceedings would be completed as early as possible.
