The petitioners have challenged the validity of the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 1984, and with Multi-State Co-operative Societies (Registration, Membership, Direction and Management, Settlement of Disputes, Appeal and Revision) Rules, 1985.

The other companion petitions challenging the validity of the said Act and rules have been withdrawn by the petitioners therein. It appears that the petitioners are not keen in pursuing the petition. Hence, the petition is dismissed for want
