STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS Mr.U.R.Awate h/f Mr.S.B.Talekar, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr.K.B.Jadhavar, AGP for respondent Nos. 1 to 4. ( CORAM : BHARATI H. DANGRE, J.) DATE : JANUARY 14, 2022 PER COURT :

1.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned AGP for the respondents. On perusal of the writ petition, it can be discerned that the petitioners are aggrieved by the judgment and order dated 12/08/1997 passed by the Commissioner of State Excise which set aside the order passed by the Collector on 11/04/1997, thereby rejecting the request of respondent No.5 to grant the FL-III license. The petition came to be filed by the petitioners projecting themselves to be the social workers and free lancers, who were aggrieved by the impugned communications, granting license in favour of respondent No.5, who was alleged to have carried out some illegal construction khs/Jan.2022/5142

2.

On hearing the learned counsel for the petitioners and on perusal of the writ petition, it is apparent that by efflux of time, the writ petition has been rendered infructuous and therefore it deserves a disposal.
