The petitioner has put forth prayer clause (B), which reads as under :- "B] The writ petition may kindly be allowed and the Respondent Authorities may kindly be directed to complete the land acquisition proceedings as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and directed to pay the land acquisition compensation to the petitioner in respect of their acquired land as expeditiously as possible."

The learned A.G.P. submits on instructions, that the earlier proceedings were lapsed and a fresh proposal has been received by respondent No.2 - District Collector, in the last week. The acquisition proceedings would commence in view of the Right to
4242.22wp (2) Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for short 'the Act of 2013') and would be concluded as per the time prescribed under the said Act.

The learned Advocate for the petitioner prays that the authorities be directed to make the payment of compensation, expeditiously after the Award is pronounced.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off with the following directions :- (a) The appropriate authority would commence the acquisition proceedings and conclude the same by delivering an Award, within a prescribed period as set out in the Act of 2013.
(b) After the Award is pronounced, the compensation amount be paid to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and not later than six months, by following the due procedure.
