The petitioner is disqualified on the ground that within a period of six months the petitioner has not submitted the caste validity certificate. This Court relying upon the fact that judgment of the Full Bench of this Court in a case of Anant H. lhalkar Vs. Chief Election Officer reported in 2017 (1) Mh. L. J. 431 is stayed by the Supreme Court had entertained the petition.

However, subsequently the Supreme Court has upheld the judgment of the Full Bench of this Court. The condition of submission of caste validity certificate within a period of six month is mandatory.
