Petitioner is merely seeking a direction to the respondent No.2 to pass appropriate order on his application submitted purportedly under Rule 28 of the Bombay Foreign Liquor Rules, 1953 and Rule 30A of the Country Liquor Rules, 1973, which was filed way back in March, 2022.

Without expressing any opinion about the petitioner' s entitlement to obtain the relief claimed in the application, we dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent No.2 to pass appropriate order on petitioner's application, referred to hereinabove, as expeditiously as possible, and in any event within a period of twelve weeks.
