Heard learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner.

A limited grievance is raised in the petitions. The submission of learned Counsel for petitioner is, the petitioner has already approached respondent No.2 i.e. Collector, Nandurbar for seeking benefit of compensation to which the petitioner is entitled for, under the provisions of National Highways Act.

A statement is made in the petitions that respondent No.2 - Collector, Nandurbar has heard reference application filed by the petitioner and matter is reserved for final order and judgment. Though time and again, it was enquired with office of respondent No.2, office was unable to provide any positive information to the petitioner about decision by respondent No.2. Thus, the petitioner is before this Court seeking directions to respondent No.2 to pass orders on reference application submitted to respondent No.2 and pending for decision.

This being limited grievance, we are of the opinion that the petition can safely be disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 - Collector, Nandurbar to decide the reference application expeditiously and not later than eight weeks from the date of the order of this Court, if it is still pending before it.

With this direction, the petitions are disposed of.
