The petitioner's appeal preferred under section 44 (4) of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Township Act, 1965 seeking disqualification of the respondent No.5 is pending decision before the State Government. 2.

The learned AGP on instructions submits that the appeal would be heard and decided by the Hon'ble Chief Minister. 3.

We dispose of the writ petition by requesting the learned Chief Minister to decide the appeal as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of 16 weeks.
