1] The petitioner is a student of D.Y. Patil College of Architecture at Pune. She successfully completed two years of her course. However, on account of illness, she could not continue her studies. She, therefore, sought transfer to Pravara College of Architecture after she recovered from her illness. Admission was granted to her there and she has completed her first term in the said college.
The petitioner's institute applied for
- 2 - permission initially in July, 2016, then in September, 2016 and again in October, 2016. This was also recommended by the Director of Technical Education. However, the Admission Regulating Authority has not decided the said application and as a result, the petitioner would not be in a position to appear for the examination, which would be held in the month of March, 2017.
2] Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, after pointing out to us various representations made by the petitioner and also the recommendations given by the Director of Technical Education, is now seeking a direction against the Admission Regulating Authority to decide the petitioner's application expeditiously. He has also invited our attention to an order passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.10515/2016 in the case of Radhika Sanjay Phand v. The State of Maharashtra & others decided on 20.12.2016.
3] The petitioner is directed to forthwith add Admission Regulating Authority as a party respondent. 4] Learned AGP waives notice on behalf of the newly

5] We, therefore, direct the Admission Regulating Authority to decide the petitioner's representation and take decision within two weeks. We permit the petitioner to pursue the studies in Pravara College of Architecture. We direct Pravara College of Architecture to forward the marks of viva and work-sheets of the petitioner to the University.
6] With these directions, the petition is disposed of. No costs.
