This petition can be disposed of by directing the Collector, Beed, to take decision on the representation tendered by the petitioners on 10.09.2013, in accordance with law; and it is accordingly directed. The Collector, while taking decision, shall have due regards to the observations made by the Supreme Court in the matter of Jagpal Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others, reported in (2011) 11 SCC 396, as well as policy formulated by the State Government in respect of regularisation of encroachments post Supreme Court decision. The Collector shall take appropriate decision, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from today. Writ Petition stands disposed of.
