1) Heard. Perused the pleadings; grounds taken in the petition; annexures thereto; impugned communication/order; reply filed by the respondents and rejoinder filed by the petitioner.

2) Upon careful perusal of the impugned communication dated 3rd November, 2014 sent by the Desk Officer, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Maharashtra, to the petitioner, it is abundantly clear that not a single reason is assigned while rejecting the proposal of the petitioner/society recommended by the District Collector. It appears from the documents

WP No. 752/2015 placed on record that though the District Collector, Latur has recommended the proposal of the petitioner for sanction and disbursement of grant in aid, however, as already observed, the proposal of the petitioner has been rejected without assigning any reason therefor and on this ground alone, the impugned communication/order is quashed and set aside and Respondent No.1 is directed to re-consider the proposal of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of eight weeks from today and take a decision after hearing the petitioner and give specific reasons in support of such decision.

3) With these observations, the petition is disposed of.
