In view of the amendment, even Officers below the rank of Tahsildar are empowered to seize the vehicle. 2] The petitioner has an alternate remedy before appellate authority. 3] Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail alternate remedy. All contentions are kept open. If the petitioner files an appeal before the authority, the authority shall endeavor to take decision in the appeal within 1 month for release of vehicle. [MANGESH S.
