Both these criminal applications can be disposed of by this common order. The applicants in both these
( 2 ) applications are accused in two criminal cases which are pending before the Session Court, Aurangabad since last more than six years.

The incident took place due to election dispute and offences punishable under Sections 307,324,323,504,506,143,147,148,149 & 427 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 135 of the Bombay Police Act were registered against both the sides. The accused as well the injured persons in both these cases have come before this Court with a plea that both the cases should be disposed of by acquitting all the accused, because parties have arrived at a compromise. In a way they admitted that they had committed the offence and now they should be pardoned. They do not realize that the offences they had committed, were not only against each other, but against society at large.

Having regard to the circumstances and to put an end to this litigation we are reluctantly giving our consent for quashing of the complaints and criminal cases but not without putting the applicants to terms. The applicants shall deposit of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each in both these cases during the course of the day with High Court Legal Services Committee, Aurangabad. On production of receipt of the amount so
( 3 ) ordered to be deposited, the applications would be allowed in terms of prayer clauses "C" & "D". In case the amount is not deposited as ordered above, this order would stand recalled and the applications would be dismissed.
