On 17/12/2025 an amount of Rs.14,07,259/- is deposited by the Executive Engineer with the Special Land Acquisition OfÏcer. Learned advocate for petitioner submits that this amount includes interest upto 16/12/2024. Learned advocate for acquiring body would submit that the interest for the period from 17/12/2024 to 17/12/2025 will be disbursed to the petitioner within four weeks from today. By recording the said statement as undertaking to this Court, the contempt petition is disposed of. 2.

We make it clear that if the interest amount is not paid to the petitioner within four weeks from today, the same will be treated as aggravated form of contempt.
