IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

BENCH AT AURANGABAD 904 WRIT PETITION NO. 712 OF 2004 ASHOK RAMRAO WAGH

VERSUS

THE RETURNING OFFICER, MAHARASHTRA STATE ELECTRICITY BOARD AND OTHERS .....

AGP for Respondent State : Mr. S. K. Tambe .....

CORAM : V. K. JADHAV, J.

DATED : 20th November, 2019 PER COURT:- 1.

None present for the petitioner as well as the respondents. 2.

This Writ Petition pertains to rejection of the nomination filed by the petitioner for contesting the election of respondent no.3-Society. The petitioner had submitted his nomination from the Sub-Division Parola for open category post on 23.01.2004 and the said nomination came to be rejected on the ground that the petitioner has not taken signatures of 25 members of the Society on his nomination paper. It further appears that the petitioner had approached the District Deputy Registrar by preferring appeal bearing Appeal No. 2 of 2004. However, the District Deputy Registrar, by order dated 23.01.2004, rejected the said appeal.

904-WP-712-2004 -23.

In view of the above, since this pertains to rejection of nomination for election of the Society of the year 2004, this Writ Petition has become infructuous. The Writ Petition is hereby dismissed. Rule Discharged.
