Though the present application is filed seeking permission to amend the writ petition by way of an interim prayer, the applicants are seeking prohibitory order. In the writ petition, the principal prayers are prayer clauses (A) and (B). Mr Palodkar, learned Counsel for the applicants press the application for an interim orders in terms of prayer clause (C).

Considering the fact that the prayer clause (C) is nothing but seeking prohibitory order and same would be resulted in an indulgence caused in the process of election and further expanding the scope of
