This petition raises similar question as was raised in writ petition No. 2557 of 2002 which was decided on 13.07.2015. This petition should, therefore, be decided in terms of the said judgment and order.

For the reasons mentioned in the judgment and order dated 13.07.2015 in writ petition No. 2557 of 2002, the present petition is allowed in terms of prayer clause "B". Interest on the arrears of salary shall be 6% per annum from the date of approval till the date of payment.

Rule is made absolute in the above terms. Writ Petition stands disposed of.
