This matter pertains to the land of the Petitioner having been acquired for rehabilitation of the flood affected persons of the Mhalasapur Tanda, Taluka and District Beed, vide File No. 89/Rehabilitation(iquoZlu)/Kavi/480. By private negotiations, the land of the Petitioner was acquired in 1989. Joint measurement under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for short 'the 2013 Act'), was conducted in 2017. No further steps have been taken.

The Petitioner has tendered representations dated 27/01/2020 to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Beed and 06/11/2020 to

4688.21wp (2) the District Collector, Beed. The grievance of the Petitioner is that the compensation for the land acquired in the light of the measurement carried out in 2017, should be paid. 3.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off, with a direction to the District Collector, Beed, to consider the representations of the Petitioner within a period of 45 days from today. If the measurement indicates that the land of the Petitioner is acquired, appropriate proposal may be called for within 45 days thereafter, and then the procedure prescribed under the 2013 Act, shall be taken recourse to and appropriate steps would be taken within the timeline, as is prescribed thereunder.
