The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner had applied for contesting the election on the seat meant for General (Woman) category, but her nomination paper is accepted from General category and the petitioner is shown to be contesting the election from General category and not from General (Woman) category.

The petitioner has given undertaking. In the undertaking also the petitioner has contended that she is contesting the election from General Woman category. In the nomination form, the petitioner has specifically mentioned that, the petitioner is contesting the election from the seat reserved for General Woman category. 2.

We have also heard Mr. Kadethankar, the learned counsel

2 wp 546.21 for the respondent No. 2 and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for respondents/State.

The petitioner filled in nomination form from Ward No. 2C. Ward No. 2-C is meant for general category. The declaration also states that, the petitioner is contesting the election from Ward No. 2-C. The nomination is also accepted by the Returning Officer for Ward No. 2-C from general category. The voting is scheduled tomorrow i. e. on 15.01.2021.

For the aforesaid reasons, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition. The writ petition as such is disposed of. No costs.
