The petition has been filed by the original informant seeking a direction so that the investigating officer files a final report under section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure at the earliest. 2.

The learned APP, in presence of the Investigating Officer and on his instructions, submits that it is a matter of cheating and misappropriation and using forged documents. There are 27 victims who could be traced up till now.

Considering the enormity of the crime involving several persons either as victims or culprits, the Investigating Officer has not been able to file the final report up till now. Some of the accused persons are residents of some other states and Investigating Officer

2 Cri. WP / 81 / 2024 would be taking emergent steps so that the investigation is concluded at the earliest and would file a final report without any delay. 4.

We accept the explanation being tendered and dispose of the writ petition.
