The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner's application to consider him for appointment on compassionate ground in place of his father is pending with the respondents. The name of the petitioner was incorporated in the list of persons to be appointed on compassionate ground. Brother of the petitioner has died.

Mr. Dhongade, the learned counsel appears for respondent Nos. 1 to 3.

In case application of the petitioner is pending with the respondents, then the respondents shall take decision on the same on its own merits, in accordance with law and policy, expeditiously and preferably within a period of four (04) weeks
