Mr. Deshmukh, the learned counsel submits that the petitioner is protected under the orders of this Court in proceedings under Section 7 and 36 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, however, subsequently no confidence motion is passed against the petitioner and the petitioner does not held the post of Sarpanch.

In view of that, the petition would remain academic. No purpose would be served by deciding the petition on merits.

Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
