The petitioner's proposal has been pending with the Scrutiny Committee and he has been served with a notice to show cause why his services shall not be terminated for failure to produce the certificate of validity.

The learned AGP, on instructions, submits that the vigilance enquiry report is ready and served on the petitioner and the Committee would decide the proposal within 8 weeks of his filing reply to the report.

The writ petition is disposed of in the following manner :- [a] The petitioner shall approach the Scrutiny Committee and submit his reply on 20.01.2025.

[b] The Committee shall thereafter decide the proposal within 8 (eight) weeks therefrom.

[c] The services of the petitioner shall stand protected for the period of 8 weeks from 20.01.2025.
