The petitioners rely upon a communication dated 13.01.2023, addressed by the Deputy Secretary, Rural Development, Government of Maharashtra to the Chief Executive Officers of all the Zilla Parishads of the State of Maharashtra. The above communication is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification. Steps have been initiated for fine tuning the online portal used for the purposes of inter district and intra district transfers. The Government is thinking of redesigning the portal. A decision has still not been taken.

Considering that a policy decision will have to be taken by the Government and if at all the portal system is to be substituted, the Government

( 2 ) 907 wp 677.23 will have to devise a competent and efficient replacement. This is bound to take time.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. We expect the State Government to take a decision as is set out in the communication dated 13.01.2023, within a reasonable time.
