I have considered the strenuous submissions of Shri Kale, learned Advocate for the petitioner, the learned AGP on behalf of respondents 1 to 4 and Shri Patni, learned Advocate on behalf of respondent No.5. 2.

The petitioner is aggrieved by the order of the Honourable Minister dated 2.4.1998, by which, the revision filed by respondent No.5 herein was allowed and she was granted the license to operate the fair price shop. While issuing notice on 25.6.1998, this Court did not grant interim relief to the petitioner. While admitting the matter on 12.6.2001, interim relief was specifically refused to the petitioner. As such, for the last about 20 years, the petitioner is without any license for operating the fair price shop.

Learned AGP submits that respondent No.5, who was granted the license for the fair price shop, is presently not operating the said shop as her license has been cancelled. Shri Patni confirms the said statement. 4.

Considering the above and the passage of time of 20 years, this petition is rendered infructuous and stands disposed off. Rule is discharged.
