Shri. Kulkarni, learned counsel for the applicants states that the mother and father of the children lost their lives in the accident. Therefore, the entire amount allotted to the share of the grandparents of the minors be paid. He further submitted that the grandparents being aged cannot do any work. He submitted that their family business i.e. pharmaceutical shop is also closed as licence for running the shop cannot be issued to the grandparents. Therefore, he sought permission to withdraw the accrued interest every month on the FDR created in the name of minors.

ORDER

The amount allotted by the Tribunal to the share of each of the grandparents be paid to them alongwith accrued interest. 5.
The grandparents i.e. applicant Nos. 3 and 4 are permitted to withdraw accrued interest on the FDR created in the name of the minors as per the directions of the Tribunal till the minors attain the age of majority. Needless to say that the amount of interest shall be utilized only for meeting the educational expenses and other needs of the minors. [M. G. SEWLIKAR, J.] ssp ca1259.21.odt
