The grievance of the petitioners is that they have filed application for rental compensation to the Collector. The same is not yet decided.

In fact, application has to be filed with the Special Land Acquisition Officer. He has to decide it after hearing the parties concerned.

The petitioners may file an application with the Special Land Acquisition Officer for grant of rental compensation. Upon receipt of application, the Special Land Acquisition Officer shall decide the said application on its own merits, after hearing the petitioners and the acquiring body, expeditiously and preferably within a period of nine

(09) months from the date of application.

Writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
