The petitioner is questioning the steps being taken by the respondents for acquisition of his land. The petitioner is objecting to absence of any social impact assessment contemplated under Section 4 as well as undertaking of the joint measurement even before publication of notification under Section 11(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for short, 'the Act of 2013).

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has submitted an objection in tune with Section 15 of the Act of 2013 and would be satisfied if the respondents are directed to decide it in accordance with law.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent No.5 to pass appropriate order on the petitioner's objections filed under Section 15 of the Act of 2013 on its own merits as expeditiously as possible by extending an opportunity to him of being heard.
