The proposal tendered by petitioner under section 36-A of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966, for according permission to sell the land is pending consideration with the State Government since long and no decision, as yet, has been taken thereon.

In this view of the matter, writ petition can be conveniently disposed of, by directing Respondent no. 1 to take decision on the proposal of petitioner under section 36-A of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, for according permission to sell the land, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from today. Order accordingly. Writ petition stands disposed of.
