Learned A.G.P. points out that the subject matter of writ petition, is a notice issued by Divisional Joint Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Aurangabad dated 13-05-1998 in pursuance of the provisions of section 73(1)(d) and rule 57-A of Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1961. The Divisional Joint Registrar, had, in response to request by nine members of executive committee of "ejkBokMk foHkkxh; oht eaMG dk;kZy;hu deZpkjh lgdkjh irlaLFkk e vkSjaxkckn", for holding a meeting for no-confidence motion on 29-05-1998 at about 11.00 am, appointed Mr. B.L. Jadhav, Assistant Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Aurangabad, as the presiding officer. Learned A.G.P., however, points out that there had been no interim relief granted by this court.

It is further being pointed out that writ petition no. 2107 of 1998 along with which this writ petition was to be heard, has already been disposed of on 10-07-2003.

In the circumstances, it appears, with efflux of huge intervening period, no fruitful purpose is likely to be served and the writ petition has been rendered inefficacious. Writ petition stands disposed of as such. Rule stands discharged. [SUNIL P. DESHMUKH] JUDGE arp/
