We have heard Mr Thombre, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr Kadam, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 3 and 4. 2.

Mr Kadam, the learned counsel submits that the election programme for conduct of the election after finalization of the voters list is published on 19.01.2021. The same has progressed to the stage of withdrawal of nominations.

It is not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents that the petitioner has remedy of election petition to assail the election.

As the stage of election has progressed further, and now the stage has reached for withdrawal of nominations, it would be inappropriate to consider the matter on merits at this belated stage. 5.

In light of the above, we dispose of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to avail alternate remedy as permissible in law. 6.
