Missing daughter of the petitioner by name Sadnya is brought to us today by Mr. D. L. Kalge, N.P.C. B. No. 1707, MIDC Police Station, Latur.

According to petition the girl had gone missing since 04 January 2024. Considering the fact that there is no dispute about her date of birth being 05 December 2005, she having already completed 18 years of age even before she went missing, we thought it fit to interact with her in confidence, in the chambers.

We have interacted with the girl in the chambers at about 2.15 p.m. She in presence of the learned advocate for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor in clear

2 cri wp 123.24 terms states about having left the petitioner's custody on her own and having accompanied a boy to whom she subsequently solemnized marriage on 04 January 2024 in presence of couple of witnesses at Ridhi Siddhi Mangal Karayalaya, Alandi, Tq. Khed, Dist. Pune.

On our further interaction with the girl she informs us that her parents are aware of the fact that she has now solemnized marriage with the boy, but are not ready to accept it perhaps because of the fact that it is an inter-caste marriage. She in clear terms states that she does not have any apprehension and is ready to go on her free will with the boy.

On our query she also informs us that for all this while since she had left the parental home, she has not been put under any coercion or influence and was not confined anywhere and does not need protection.

In view of above, we set the girl at liberty. The criminal writ petition is disposed of.
