CORAM: RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.
DATE :- 20th October, 2016 P.C.:
The Petitioner/ Zilla Parishad has challenged an interlocutory order dated 19.12.1996 below Exhibit U/2 passed by the Industrial Court, Jalna in Complaint (ULP) No.269/1996. A similar order has been passed in Complaint (ULP) Nos.170/1996 and 268/1996. This Court by order dated 16.06.1997 had directed the statusquo to be maintained. The learned Advocate for the contesting Respondent No.1 is absent. The learned Advocate for the Petitioners is unable to make a statement as to whether, the main complaint has been decided or not.
*2* 235.wp.882.97 In the light of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of by continuing the interim order of maintaining status-quo with regard to the services of the employees of Respondent No.1, whose names are mentioned in Annexure A to the complaint and the Industrial Court, Jalna is directed to decide Complaint (ULP) No.269/1996 as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of EIGHT MONTHS from today, in the event the said complaint has still not been decided. Needless to state, if the said complaint is already decided, this order would lose it's efficacy and the litigating sides would then be covered by the judgment delivered by the Industrial Court.
Rule is discharged.
