DATE : 24TH JANUARY, 2018 ORDER :

In this Petition the grievance is raised that though the proposal in respect of approval to the appointment of the Petitioner as Assistant Teacher is pending with Respondent No.2, no final decision is yet taken.

We direct Respondent No.2 to take decision on the proposal in respect of approval to the appointment of the Petitioner as Assistant Teacher, if already not taken, as expeditiously as possible, however within EIGHT WEEKS from today, on its own merits.

If Respondent No.2 wishes to hear the

Petitioner, he can do so by issuing notice to the Petitioner and calling him for hearing.

4.

We make clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the contentions raised in the Petition.

5.

Needless to observe that if approval is granted to the appointment of the Petitioner on the post of Assistant Teacher, the Respondents shall take necessary further steps to pay arrears of salary etc. to the Petitioner.
