This petition is challenging interim order passed by the learned Acting Chairman of the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Bench at Aurangabad in Original application No. 248 of 1998. 2.

The impugned order was passed on 9.6.1998, thereby directing the petitioner not to work as Instructor in Government Polytechnic, Ahmednagar. Soon after the writ petition was filed, the effect of the order was stayed on 10.7.1998. It appears that the petitioner was appointed as Instructor on 6.1.1998 and because of the order passed by this Court in this writ petition at interim stage, he could continued his services. Since then 17 years have lapsed. We therefore, think it proper to allow this petition in terms of interim order

wp2562.98 -2dated 10.7.1998 and request the Tribunal to decide the Original Application No. 248 of 1998, as early as possible on merits. Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Rule made absolute in the above terms.
