PER COURT:- 1.

The petitioner had applied for the post of Notary. The petitioner was called for the interview under letter dated 28.09.2018. The petitioner did not remain present. The contention of the petitioner is that he was not keeping well. The petitioner contends that the respondents could have dispensed with the interview as per Notification dated 18.04.2016.

Dispensing with the interview is discretion of the Authority as per the Notification. It is a fact that the petitioner was called for the interview. The petitioner did not remain present for the interview. In absence

(2) 45-wp-3478-2020 thereof, the prayer made to issue appointment order to the petitioner as a Notary cannot be considered. 3.

The petitioner may apply afresh as per the procedure under the Notaries Act and the Rules. Naturally, if according to the Notaries Act the application is made, the same would be considered after following proper procedure.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
