A report is submitted by Additional Collector, Beed stating that the Petitioner had applied for Arms Licence, by application dated 7th January, 2022. By order dated 14th October, 2024, the application filed by the Petitioner seeking Arms Licence, is rejected. Copy of order of refusing to issue Arms Licence to the Petitioner was forwarded to Tahsildar, Beed, for serving the same on the Petitioner. When the said order was sought to be served on the Petitioner, through Revenue Employee Gajanan Mehetre on 5th February, 2025, house of the Petitioner was locked. On inquiry, it was revealed that the Petitioner stays at Udgir due to his employment. When the order was sought to be served on 20th

{2} cp188-25.doc March, 2025, son and daughter of the Petitioner were found there and they told that the Petitioner has gone to Udgir for duty. Petitioner's mobile number was obtained from them and he was contacted on phone. He told that he is at Udgir for duty. Therefore, copy of the order was pasted on the conspicuous part of Petitioner's house.

In this view of the matter, we find that the order, of which contempt is alleged, is duly complied with. The Petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order refusing him the Arms Licence, by filing appropriate proceedings. The Appellate Authority shall consider the above aspects while deciding the application for condonation of delay.
