The learned A.G.P. on instructions states that the proposal of the Gram Panchayat for extension of Gavthan is already rejected by the Collector on 24.08.2017.

The learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would approach the Collector seeking regularization of their

( 2 ) wp 1564.17 encroachment under Rule 43 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue (Disposal of Government Lands) Rules, 1971.

The petitioners if so adviced may make such an application/proposal to the Collector. On receipt of the application/proposal by the Collector, the Collector may take decision in accordance with law and policy, expeditiously and preferably within 3 months from the date of receipt of proposal.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
