Inspite of the fact that the respondent No.2 is served, none appears for respondent No.2. It is submitted that validation proceeding in respect of caste claim of the petitioner is pending since September, 2011. By interim order, we had directed the respondents not to refrain the petitioner from taking admission to IInd semester only on the ground that validation proceedings are pending. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the interim order, the petitioner is admitted to IInd semester. 2.

Considering the above, we pass the following order I.

The respondent No.4 committee shall decide the

wp1090.15 -2validation proceedings in respect of the caste claim of the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within six months. The petitioner shall co-operate in expeditious disposal of the proceeding.

II.

The respondent Nos. 2 and 3 shall not take any adverse action against the petitioner only on the ground that validation proceedings are pending. They may take further action in tune with the judgment of the committee. III.

Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
