IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

BENCH AT AURANGABAD CONTEMPT APPEAL NO. 2 OF 2004 Shivnath Gangaram Shinde ..

Appellant

Versus

The Additional Registrar ..

Respondent Mr.A.B. Kale, Advocate for the appellant.

Mr.U.S. Mote, AGP for respondent/State.

CORAM : A.V. NIRGUDE & V.K. JADHAV,JJ.

DATED :

12.02.2015 P.C. :- 1.

Heard. The appellant - Police Officer in 2002 found guilty of contempt of Court. Instead of sending him to custody, he was sentenced to pay a fine of Rs. 2000/-. Since the appellant has paid fine and since by this time he must have retired from service, there is no point in deciding this appeal on merit. The appeal stands disposed of as infructuous.
