The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the matter is settled before the Lok Adalat in December, 2018. As per the Government Resolution, the amount of compensation is to be paid within a period of six months. Though one year has passed, the amount of compensation has not been paid. The same is sanctioned.

The learned Government Pleader accepts notice for respondent Nos. 1 and 2.

It is the joint and several liability of the State Government and the Acquiring Body to pay the amount of compensation as settled.

In case the matter between the petitioners and the respondents is settled before the Lok Adalat and the award passed by the Lok Adalat is still in force, then the respondents shall make the payment to the petitioners as per the award and as per the entitlement of the petitioners within a period of six months. 5.
