Sunil Sonawane died on 3rd December 2015. According to his wife, the petitioner, Sunil died due to vehicular accident on a public street. The petitioner made several representations to the Police that they should register an offence under Section 304-A of the Indian Penal Code against the vehicle driver, but in vain. She, therefore, approached this Court for suitable directions to be given to the Police. The Investigating Officer submitted an affidavit in which it is inter alia stated that Sunil was killed by certain people on that day. Sunil did not die of accident. He has filed charge-sheet against eleven accused for allegedly committing murder of Sunil.

In view of this, we are not inclined to entertain the petition further. If the petitioner wants to pursue her case, she may file a private complaint, but we would not direct the Police to entertain her complaint. The Police have already filed a charge-sheet against eleven alleged offenders and for us this petition stands over. Writ Petition stands dismissed.
