Heard the parties for sometime.

The petitioners have approached this court as there was vacancy of Election Commissioner. The petitioners have also filed appeal before the Election Commissioner and same is pending.

The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that

(2) 911wp1118.25 till the decision of the appeal filed by the petitioners before the Election Commissioner, protection be granted. 4.

The learned advocate for the respondents informs that now the new Election Commissioner is appointed and is likely to take charge within a day or two. The appeal filed by the petitioners would be taken up immediately thereafter. 5.

Considering the above, this petition can conveniently be disposed off for a period of three weeks. The petitions stand disposed off.

No post of Sarpanch and Upsarpanch be filled in till decision.

7.

The learned Election Commissioner is requested to take decision on the appeal filed by the petitioners as early as possible.
