Heard Mr. Patil, learned counsel for the applicants. None appears for the respondents/claimants, though served. 2.

Applicants are seeking condonation of delay of 962 days caused in filing first appeal. It is desirable to condone the delay for the reasons stated in para No. 2 of the application. 4.

The contents thereof are not controverted by the respondents. Appeal is needed to be dealt with on merits as the same have repercussions on public exchequer.
