The applicant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Sections 332, 504, 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for two years, one year and one year respectively and also to pay fine. The appeal filed by the appellant has been admitted by this Court.

The sentences awarded are short term sentences. The appeal is not likely to be heard in near future. Therefore, I am inclined to suspend the sentence and grant bail to the applicant pending the appeal. Hence the order :

O R D E R

The criminal application is allowed. Pending the appeal, the substantive sentences imposed by the learned Sessions Judge, Beed in Sessions Case No.25/2020 are suspended and the applicant shall be released on bail on his executing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand) with one surety in the like amount.
